David B. Gracy II Student Scholarships – Round Two
In 2020, the Society of Southwest Archivists is offering two additional David B. Gracy II Student Scholarships to provide financial assistance to defray the costs of student tuition and book fees to further the education of our student members.
In honor of archival educator and enthusiast, Dr. David B. Gracy II, this scholarship is intended to provide book fee and tuition assistance up to $750 to an SSA student member enrolled in a graduate archival education program, including Public History, Applied History, Library Science or Information Studies, at an institution within the SSA Region.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a member of the Society of Southwest Archivists currently enrolled in a graduate archival education program, including Public History, Applied History, Library Science or Information Studies, at an institution within the SSA region, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Deadline for applications is August 15, 2020 at 11:59pm CST.
Applications must include the following:
- Completed application form which includes your contact information,
- Name and contact information of a reference who can confirm your enrollment, and
- 250-word essay explaining how the scholarship funds will aid your educational endeavors.
